Above the heavens a voice is heard:
"On the earth below you shall unearth,
Treasures filled with happiness and mirth,
On two conditions I give this to thee,
That you'll always be grateful and always be patient,
For that is the key,
To the riches that be"
They rode me into the city,
And acknowledged me.
They presented me before their chief,
And defended me.
They clothed me as royalty,
And honoured me.
They gave me a crown,
And worshiped me.
They held my hands,
And supported me.
They laid me on a bed,
And I gave them rest.

Peaceful, quite, full of serenity. The breeze touching my skin and taking my thoughts to the most distant mountains. The sun peering through the clouds, shining on the grass, reflecting the diamonds of the dew.
Two brothers coming. Peace in their hearts, smiles on their faces. Sweet words, prayers, and a portion of scripture. Deep theology, intense beliefs. Good people. Full of insight and emotion.

Suddenly the grass turns to lava, the sun is replaced by a demon, the wind is a scorching sandstorm and the eyes of the brothers become those of a serpent’s, as their flesh tur

Ek wens ek was Kreatief

Soos verskietende sterre
Wat na die aarde se arms toe vlieg
Teen 'n spoed
Net stadig genoeg
Om te gryp uit die lug
Voor die aarde dit sluk
En neer te plak
Op 'n boek
Op 'n papier
Op 'n hart

I was born with a cleft lip and palate and I live in South Africa, currently in Pretoria.
I speak Afrikaans and English and I also studied German and Spanish for a year, putting me on an A2 level for both. In the meantime I am also learning Russian from time to time on my own (though lately I'm far too lazy for it).
I have a deep interest in Politics (International Relations), and to some extent apologetics, history and religion.
I am a Chestertonian :-)
I am a born again Christian and I will have a respectful discussion with ANYONE on ANY subject about Christ, the existence of God, moral issues and what not.
I really do appreciate favourites and especially comments. Feel free to message me about any topic.
God bless!

There is this beautiful song by a band whom I recently discovered.
The song is Keep Making Me by Casting Crowns.
I REALLY encourage any Christian and perhaps non-Christians to listen to it. Here it is on YouTube:
Make me broken, so I can be healed
Till I want no one, more than You Lord
This song is about being vulnerable. About total surrender.
It's about breaking out of your situation into something much more.
I guess I just wanted to share it. Listen to it, it's great!
Last week Tuesday I had my operation.
On the way to the hospital (about an hour away) I was in a state of mental war. I wasn't stressing, but I sure as hell wasn't peaceful.
I just listened to music on my phone. Anything encouraging. Two songs specifically made a massive impact:
You Won't Let Go by Michael W. Smith and Just Be Held by Casting Crowns
In You Won't Let Go I heard these amazing lyrics
You are the anchor for my soul
You won't let go
Neither life, neither death
The highest high, the deepest death
Nothing can separate
In Just Be Held I heard
Hold it all together
Everybody needs you strong
But life hits you out of nowhere
