I was born with a cleft lip and palate and I live in South Africa, currently in Pretoria.
I speak Afrikaans and English and I also studied German and Spanish for a year, putting me on an A2 level for both. In the meantime I am also learning Russian from time to time on my own (though lately I'm far too lazy for it).
I have a deep interest in Politics (International Relations), and to some extent apologetics, history and religion.
I am a Chestertonian :-)
I am a born again Christian and I will have a respectful discussion with ANYONE on ANY subject about Christ, the existence of God, moral issues and what not.

My Operation - Thank God!

Last week Tuesday I had my operation.
On the way to the hospital (about an hour away) I was in a state of mental war. I wasn't stressing, but I sure as hell wasn't peaceful.
I just listened to music on my phone. Anything encouraging. Two songs specifically made a massive impact:
You Won't Let Go by Michael W. Smith and Just Be Held by Casting Crowns
